Sister Eve had spent twenty years living in the Pecos monastery and along with the rest of nuns residing there, the women had been told to leave and relocate. As a result, she was trying to decide whether she would remain a nun. Dressed as a civilian and traveling on her motorcycle, she returns to the monastery to attend a conference of special interest to her. Then the unthinkable happens. It is discovered that the first speaker, Dr. Kelly Middlesworth, has been murdered and there are signs that the killer might be Dr. Middlesworth’s brother, Anthony, who lives at the monastery.
Sister Eve has a talent for solving murders. She doesn’t believe Anthony could have killed his sister and when he goes missing, Sister Eve sets forth on a perilous journey in order to find him and, hopefully, the killer. Can she solve this case?
Sister Eve is an endearing character and the well drawn secondary characters add depth to the story. There are twists and turns and the conclusion was a total surprise. I found this to be a good story and I enjoyed reading it. Highly recommended.
