Just one kiss and its aftermath had a huge impact on the futures of Cassidy Starr and Jarrod Monahan. Jarrod immediately left for a new life in Montana and Cassidy married a man who caused her a great deal of pain. Now divorced, she moves to Wishing Springs, Texas to start over. She had been left a property that she will turn into strawberry farm and bed and breakfast. What is not in her plans is reconnecting with Jarrod who retuned to Wishing Springs to manage his family’s ranch which is next door to her property. While Cassidy is positive she never wants another relationship, Jarrod is just as sure that he wants a family that includes Cassidy.
There is much that happens in this heartwarming story. Jarrod remains devoted to his ailing grandfather while trying to find the cattle rustlers stealing cattle from the ranch. But, even this does not stop him from trying to convince Cassidy they belong together. Even though she acknowledges her attraction to him, she remains resolute. It takes a near tragedy to make her reconsider her convictions. Will she face her fears and give this man a chance?
I found this to be an engrossing and well written story. The author has created vivid and realistic characters- people that the reader can relate to. The author brings to the reader a story about family, love, community and faith. Highly recommended.
