A June Bride by Marybeth Whalen Zondervan ISBN 9780310339137

A June Bride, a novella by Marybeth Whalen, is part of the Year of Weddings series. At her friend’s insistence, Wynne agrees to audition for a reality show appropriately called The Rejection Connection. Wynne’s fiancé had broken up with her and she was devastated which made her the perfect candidate for “a dating show that paired recently dumped women with a host of eligible bachelors”. Wynne is able to pick one man from those who try to win her heart and wedding plans proceed. However, she feels unsettled with all the attention this show has brought into her life. Without warning, her former fiancé contacts her and tells her he made a mistake by breaking up with her. Doubts about her new fiancé, Andy, and their upcoming wedding begin to surface, especially when she finds him with Meredith who is the recent winner of yet another reality show called Marathon Mom. Will this wedding take place?
I enjoyed this story. It’s well written and moves along quickly.
