A May Bride ( A Year of Weddings Novella) by Meg Moseley ISBN 9780310338703 Zondervan

A May Bride, a novella by Meg Moseley, is a contemporary romance story. Ellie and Gray are two very different people who quickly fall in love and become engaged. Ellie is the daughter of a controlling and narrow minded mother. None the less, Ellie loves her mother and does her best to maintain a relationship with this difficult woman. Gray’s parents are easy going people and as a result, so is he. However, his love for Ellie is tested by the drama her mother creates. Eventually, things come to a head and the couple’s future is uncertain. Will Ellie have to choose between Gray and her family? I found this to be a well written story about loyalty and commitment. The characters have to look inward and to make important decisions. As a result, they are easy to relate to. The story moves smoothly and is easy to read.
